Happy New Year?
I have been reluctant to write a post about the new year for fear of being disingenuous. The world has been so topsy-turvy lately, I don’t want to jinx 2022.
But then I watched a great documentary about the writer Joan Didion on Netflix called, “The Center Will Not Hold” and I was inspired. Sadly, Joan passed away only a week or so ago. She was quite the celebrated writer, chronicling decades that were as uncertain and tempestuous as they are now. In the documentary, she notes that she overcomes fear by confronting it in her writing. So, I shall do the same.
I wish all my friends and family a very happy and healthy 2022. Ivy Alexander is just getting started and I am excited about what the future holds. My New Years Resolution_ to nurture my creative side and write more blog posts. The ‘Center WILL Hold’ because I will confront my fears and write with reckless abandon, well not too reckless, I am still a lawyer but you get the point. Cheers!
