Purse on the Floor, Money out the Door!

Call it a Feng Shui superstition or one that I have heard about from my grandmother but in many cultures, it is bad luck to keep your handbag on the floor. The theory being that a handbag, purse, pocketbook, whatever your verbiage, represents wealth and that by leaving it low on the floor, you are disrespecting the money kept within.

Not wanting to be disrespectful of this superstition or for that matter, money, I have always adhered to this adage. But alas, there are soo many other reasons to keep your purse off the ground:

• Its icky, and non-hygenic;

• You increase the risk of theft; and

• Leaving your purse on the ground may damage it, particularly those cherished, luxury purchases that can be considered investments. 

During the pandemic, when they permitted outdoor dining, I would always keep a purse hook with me, figuring that limiting the amount of germs that came into contact with my bag was a good thing.  And during that time, many people would stop me and ask what it was and where they could buy one. This caused a lightbulb to go off in my brain. I recognize that the idea of a purse hook or bag holder is not a new concept.  But I sought to create a stylish, high-quality version that would compliment the lovely and chic handbag that it protected. Et voilà, here we are today.

Each version of our purse hooks had been tested a thousand times before we began production to ensure quality and durability. We think the design and metal choices are elegant and very different from other products in the marketplace. So, be a good friend and consider purchasing one of our purse hooks or heck, buy a bunch to give as gifts.
